Soil and percolation testing for Fawnskin / North Shore septic projects
Fawnskin and the North Shore occupy the quieter north side of Big Bear Lake, where narrow benches meet steep forested slopes.
Lake setbacks, tributary drainage, shallow rock, and small legacy lots can leave little flexibility for both an initial system and replacement area.
Septic soil testing is useful only when the field locations represent the proposed disposal area. Surface appearance, a regional soil map, or a result from a nearby parcel cannot establish the absorption rate or soil conditions for this site.
