Soil and percolation testing for Rimrock septic projects
Rimrock is a rugged rural community in the Pioneertown uplands where desert fans meet exposed granitic and metamorphic rock.
Irregular slopes, rock outcrops, washes, private wells, and limited road access make conventional grid-based testing impractical on some parcels.
Septic soil testing is useful only when the field locations represent the proposed disposal area. Surface appearance, a regional soil map, or a result from a nearby parcel cannot establish the absorption rate or soil conditions for this site.
